Portrait of Lisa is a portrait of a person. Painted primarily in acrylic with subtle oil pastel details, the piece was inspired by my grandmother.
The fluidity of the medium allowed me to create soft, bleeding edges that mirror the sensation of mist rolling over the hills, while sharper, more defined brushstrokes were used to ground the composition and guide the viewer’s eye.
