Group Portrait is an exploration of the relationship between my family and I. Painted primarily in acrylic with subtle oil pastel details, the piece was inspired by a family photograph.
The fluidity of the medium allowed me to create soft, bleeding edges that mirror the sensation of mist rolling over the hills, while sharper, more defined brushstrokes were used to ground the composition and guide the viewer’s eye.
